Group Leisure. Helpful Incentives.

The Tour Operator incentive program is designed to support leisure tour operators, while securing room-night bookings at Dallas Tourism Public Improvement District (DTPID) hotels. This Program is for group leisure, educational or incentive travel only, with a minimum of 15 hotel rooms. Subject to board approval, funds are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Program Guidelines

Tour Operators are eligible for up to 10% the daily hotel contract room rate.
  • Tour operators must select a Dallas TPID Hotel.
  • Travel must take place between Oct. 1, 2021 and Sept. 30, 2022.
  • For group travel only with a minimum of 15 hotel room nights required.
  • Online Travel Agencies are ineligible for the program.
  • Only groups visiting Dallas for leisure, educational or incentive purposes can qualify for this program.
  • Groups can qualify regardless of if they fly or drive to our destination.
  • Groups traveling for meeting or convention purposes cannot qualify for this program.
  • Tour Operators must submit the hotel pick-up report with their post-event form to receive payment.
  • Tours receiving other DTPID funds are ineligible.
  • Alterations to forms may result in rejection of the application.

Process Guidelines

  • Follow all directions in the Tour Operators Incentive Program
  • Identify the Group Travel Opportunity
  • Submit an application at least 30 days prior to the tour
  • Await notification of approval
  • Submit the post-event application and hotel pick-up report within 30 days after the tour.
  • Receive reimbursements for approved tour.
